Painted Mountain corn is an early maturing, colorful and cold hardy variety of corn that can be eaten fresh when young, or grounded or roasted. Saved from extinction by Montana farmer Dave Christensen, not merely for ornamental purposes, but for its high nutrient content. Believed to be grown by Native Americans and pioneering families of the USA.
