Birds Eye Chilli Birds Eye is a chili variety from Africa. they are often sold as Thai Chili, Thai Dragon or Piri Piri. On the Scoville scale, Birds Eye Chilis are at 100,000 Scoville Heat Units. use bird’s-eye chilies for spicy, vegetables and salads. Dried chillies taste different from the fresh variety due to the caramelisation of the sugars that occurs during the drying process.
